Huh. I thought the phonies' High class hotels weren't supposed to break down? Guess I was proven wrong, looks like. Man, I'm bored.
Are there ducks anywhere? Nobody's told me what happens about those ducks in Central Pond when it freezes over. I really want to know what happens to them. |

| Holden Caufield's App (work in progress) |
[May. 6th, 2009|02:10 am] |
Name: Holden Morrisey Caulfield Fandom: J.D. Salinger's "Catcher In The Rye" Played By | Link to example pic: Gerard Way
Sexuality: Hetro. :3;
Strengths: He is, in almost literal reality, a hopeful person, though he is cynical and sarcastic. He is ecology minded (mostly ducks. Holden doesn't continue in sexual activities unless the other agrees. He wants to keep others innocent. Holden likes children; they're the only pure things to him (he saves some from falling off of a cliff). He doesn't like violence, and perfers not to fight (sometimes this isn't avoidable, or he does get into the occasional fight to be a bother or just because).
While he is judgmental (described slightly below), he genuinely cares for other people (even if he never says or does anything to portray it.)
Weaknesses: He lies. Alot. He also dislikes wealth, and especially phonies and corruptions. He believes love, peace, and kindness, or more positive aspects of the human nature, are no longer around in the world at large. However, he doesn't believe that he can change this, and seems to have come to terms with it. Holden isn't taken too seriously in canon; his views are seen as the naive and simple to adults. He tends to internalize negative things about him, but takes others in stride (Holden doesn't act phased at all when he's kicked out of another school).
Holden is extremely judgmental, and doesn't conform nor connect well with others. He's quite cynical for his age, and will distance himself from others in conversations or thoughts by switching between 'I' and 'you'. He clings to innocence and his childhood. ... He does get aroused in odd situations, or kinky ones. ._. Intimacy is painful to him, and, to a lesser extent, innocence. Holden does like familiarity, and things that do not change. He is stuck in his past, and is quite afraid of the future. He is spendthrift out of habit; if he doesn't use his money, he loses it, or simply forgets to get the change (such as when he eats out, goes to a bar, etc.)
At times, he may act like a deaf-mute so that he won't have to be bothered; i.e: speak or be spoken to. He may also try to run away, even if he knows it's futile.
Habits/Quirks: He ♥ ducks, and his red hunting cap he bought while in New York. He takes said cap on and off during certain situations (it may be a protective shield?), specifically, he takes it off when he knows adults are going to laugh, ignore, etc. him if he keeps it on. Holden is partly mysogenistic. On one hand, his desire to protect others' innocence is inhibiting. He'll go to great lengths to protect it. He also loves things that do not change, and has a fondness for museums.
He doesn't apply himself at school. Holden isn't sure of others, and hasn't properly figured out how to connect with anyone. It seems that he only liked Allie, his dead brother. He smokes a good bit. He likes tennis, and seems to like more classical books, and is also seemingly agnostic.
Holden tries to connect with people in his own way, all though it's backassards 90% of the time (he tries to talk with a prostitute. It's pretty sad that she doesn't want to talk to him at all. ;[)
His favorite lunch is a "Swiss cheese sandwich" and a "malted milk", and is a light eater by default.
